Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way for me to make the same effect as they do for the numbers "24" at the beginning of the every episode of 24... its basically a digital reading (like you would see on a calculator or alarm clock) that goes through many many numbers in a glowing orange... and then it turns into the number24.... but i would like to turn it into the letters "TBS"...any ideas? or is this just impossible?
here's the effect in action (at the very beginning) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 17974&q=24

This is possible, however it would take a third party application to create it. I suspect they are using Adobe After Effects or similar program. This could possibly be done with Ulead's Video Graphics Lab, or Cool 3D, or a flash authoring program.
You could even use an image editing program, preferrably a vector base one. and make images of the numbers, letters, or characters you wanted. Then insert them into VS.
It can be done, the producers of the video in your link done it. It just takes some creative thinking and work...
