Incorporating still images into a video
I currently use VS7 to edit my videos. For my latest project I want to include some images (jpeg format) into the video as a sort of slide show but I am unsure how to do it . Any ideas?

Exactly the same way as you do with your videos, either import them to your 'Image' library and drag and drop them into the timeline or Right click over the timeline and choose 'Insert Image' - browse to your jpeg and select it.
About the only real difference between a video and a jpeg is that you have to manually set the duration of the still image - if you have quite a few and you want them all the same length then set up the default duration in 'Preferences'

jpeg stills
brian or anyone- my images do not appear as sharp as in the videostudio screen, in other words, the dvd is less in quality than in the (vs v9) screen. I scanned the jpegs at 900-1000.
any advice??

Re: jpeg stills
Yes, your PC monitor has a much higher resolution than your TV. Jpeg is not the best format for insertion of stills into a video project, bmp or tiff is much better suited because it's uncompressed. 900 x 1100 is not 4:3 aspect ratio either, forcing VS to resize during the rendering process to mpeg and to re-compress an already compressed image format (jpeg to mpeg).archivistscott wrote:brian or anyone- my images do not appear as sharp as in the videostudio screen, in other words, the dvd is less in quality than in the (vs v9) screen.
