Post by Mattcharles »

Ok, I am having a few video clips of mine LAG really bad! Why is this happening? One clip won't even go on or work wen I try to play it in the preview thing! This is very frustrating, what can I do?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What are the properties of the files which don't play correctly, compared to ones that I assume do play OK? Where did you capture them from? Are they ripped from DVDs as in one of your previous posts? At least we know from that post you are using VS10. But otherwise, we need more information before we can even begin to make an informed guess as to what might be going wrong.

It might also be good if you did a Google search for a freeware program called Sherlock. This will tell you whether any of your codecs are broken.

No, this is a new DVD, well not new but one I did not use in Ulead.
It is the Pocahontas Gold Classic Collection DVD. I ripped it with DVD Shrink. Some of the files I used work good, and some don't.

Also, I noticed when I do a reformat it says Angel and it has about three different sections for the movie. will that have something to do with it?
Also I did have a virus or a malware if you will on my computer as well, does that have something to do with it?

What are codecs and why do I need to know if they are broken or not?
