Can I put different DVD files on on edisc with Moviefactory?

Post by Guru »

I have DVD Moviefactory 3.5 for a short time.
Can I also put a few small complete DVD files on one disc?
I know how to do it with MPG ofcourse but wondering if iis possible with Moviefactory?

Cause NERO sucks at the point to put small different DVD maps on one disc, on NERO it is simply not possible.

Who can help me out please?

MF5: Yes, but watch out for another bug!

Hi,
you need to clearly explain what you want to do, because "complete DVD files" can be understood as several different things.

I assume you are talking about VOB files. MF5 can import several VOB files into 1 DVD project (assuming they are not copy-protected). Maybe someone can confirm this for MF3.5 (I uninstalled it for the MF5 trial).

Warning: there is a bug in MF5. If you import 2 VTS_01_1.VOB files (same file name) from different folders, make sure to rename the clip titles in the menu (like Clip#1 Clip#2), otherwise the 2nd clip will not be on the DVD!

You can produce a weird DVD if you import the VIDEO_TS.VOB files (the menus) from different folders, instead of the video VOBs (again: rename the clip titles to avoid the bug mentioned above).
If you create a menu for this new DVD, it will show those menus as clips and play them when selected. You'll see their buttons too, but they are not active because it is now simply a clip.

I guess any unique names are ok. As long as you don't keep the default names which are the same, and are also the same file names.

Just rename the clip titles in the menu, no need to rename the files themselves.
