LOADING SMART COMPOSITOR FILES?

Post by nutsnbolts »

Anyone know if there is anyway to actually load smart compositor into MSP8? I'm not talking about using smart compositor in MSP8 by inserting them but to actually go to...

C:/Program Files/Ulead/Ulead Systems.../uct_plug/BLAH BLAH.uct
Basically taking the UCT files and dropping them in there.

Well, first are the UCT files available seperately somewhere to download so I can put them in there?

Can you elaborate on the source of the UCT files you are trying to incorporate into MediaStudio 8?

Correctly installed Smart Compositor files in a system where you have installed MSP8 to its default location
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.0
Will install Smart compositor files in the following location
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.0\uct_plug

Each smart compositor file will have
  1. A file ending uct in that location. Example:
    C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.0\uct_plug\5FrameMovingPath.uct
  2. A Folder containing all of the material appertaining to that smart composition. Example
    C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.0\uct_plug\00488CD02B661116509077FD5F114BDA

I reinstalled everything and when I installed the smart compositor before SP1, or even after SP1 the only smart compositor file is one of the DIGITAL smart composites.. There are no other uct files.

If I look into the uct_plug folder, there is only one UCT file and one of the 00488.......etc.

Do you have the trial version? If so, this is normal. If you have a downloaded full version, then you have to install the extras file you have been given access to.

Ahh perfect...yes, I wanted to see if the trial version would correct the whole smart compositor issues. I'm presuming, I just run the downloaded full version to install it?

Ok, just so everyone know...

I actually used the trial installation and tried dropping the compositor files into the UCT_FOLDER...same results, files cannot be found.

Originally, on the trial version, they give you one compositor file to play with which works wonderfully. But once you drop the "OTHER" files from the full installation, it breaks.

Try unzipping this to drive C:\ with use folder names seleted.
Then open Media Studio 8 Editor and check your smart compositions.
You should find 7 more.
