Ulead MF5 fails to burn in edit disc mode

I'm at my wits end. Ulead MF5 fails to burn in the edit disc mode. I use a dvd recorder with a + RW disc. Progress indicators work for a minute or so then crash, returns to main window. I have tried this on all my PC's and I even download the trial version. Same thing.
