I want to just make a copy of my dvd?

Post by Doug2006 »

Sorry if this is not in the right forum. I made up my instructional video, which is two dvds, in vs10 plus. Now I want to make a copy of these. Duplicate them. Some where I must have a copy of the vs ts and I think I even made iso files. But I do have a set of know good dvds right in front of me. Is there some simple way to just copy these? I went on the internet and searched but it seems all the questions and answers are about encrypted dvds which mine are not. I know I know how to do this but I just can't put my finger on it. I suppose I just can't copy the files explorer finds on the dvds, ts and vs, to the hard drive and then burn them? Does the thing need to be decrypted or ripped and can vs 10 do this? Thanks for the help.

If you've found references to copying encrypted disks, you could use the tools and procedures to just as easily make copies of unencrypted disks.

Other than that, commercial CD/DVD burning suites such as Ahead's Nero, Roxio's Easy Media Creator, and a few less popular ones include utilities to make copies of disks. These all copy unencrypted disks only.

Ok, thanks for the speedy reply. I guess a question I was asking was can I just make a copy of a video dvd in nero or any burning software or do I have to get it back to a different form. Decrypt it or what ever? I will try to make a copy with my burning software and see what happens.

DVDs produced by Videostudio are not encrypted and can be copied using Nero, Easy Media Creator etc. without problem.
