can't burn cd with music

I'm using Photo Explorer 8.0 and can not burn my slideshow to include music files (for pc). If I burn for t.v., the music files are included, however quality (image & sound) is poor. I have checked for patches, upgrades, etc. and can find no solution - anyone?
