MSP 7.3 for the Ken Burns Effect

Post by ese »

Hi all,

I am trying to do a "Ken Burns Effect" on one of my projects's images, but I understand that I need v7.3 of MSP. Can anyone tell me how to get this upgrade? I know this is one of those "duh" questions, but your help is GREATLY APPRECIATED. :?: :?

I assume you are referring to the pan & zoom filter that was added in the 7.2 update. If you are running the full version of MSP 7 you can download and apply the 7.3 update from here:

Hope that helps.

You don't need MSP 7.3 - it's just that the update adds a Pan and Zoom filter that makes it easier to achieve the effect. It also deals with the aspect ratio of stills all by itself, but it's still possible to do what you want in MSP7, 6.5 or 6 using "moving paths".

And let's not forget the Cropping 2D filter. It can be used to create the "Ken Burns Effect".

Here's a tutorial for VS but works the same with MSP. *Note: Do not click on the MPEG sample. It no longer works and will result in many pop-ups.
