The graphics are fine in PhotoImpact, although when saving in Gif Animator that is when they become a little distorted. The settings are:
Photo 256, Mate White

For a GIF, that looks about right. Remember that the GIF format is never going to give results as clear as PNG, JPG, or PSD. GIFs have a maximum of 256 colors, not several million as most other formats do.
About the only suggestion I could make is when you optimize, click on the Optimize Panel button.
Put a check in the "Preserve Local Palette" box, and leave "Preserve local palete for all frames" checked.

Your file size will increase, but you may get a few extra colors in there. It still won't likely improve the quality on that image.
The other option is to try changing the weight...

Try changing it from Even to Red, Green or Blue and see if that helps.
