More information is needed...

Did your GA 5 installation come with PhotoImpact? Is the Gamma Correction turned on in PhotoImpact's preferences? If so, try turning that off.

What are all the optimization settings in GIF Animator? Number of colors? Matte color? Etc.

The graphics are fine in PhotoImpact, although when saving in Gif Animator that is when they become a little distorted. The settings are:

Photo 256, Mate White

Here is the graphics:

And this is the static version:

For a GIF, that looks about right. Remember that the GIF format is never going to give results as clear as PNG, JPG, or PSD. GIFs have a maximum of 256 colors, not several million as most other formats do.

About the only suggestion I could make is when you optimize, click on the Optimize Panel button. Image

Put a check in the "Preserve Local Palette" box, and leave "Preserve local palete for all frames" checked.

Your file size will increase, but you may get a few extra colors in there. It still won't likely improve the quality on that image.

The other option is to try changing the weight...

Image

Try changing it from Even to Red, Green or Blue and see if that helps.
