Error: Failed to load (on PhotoExpress 6)

I keep getting an error when I open up Photo Express 6. They are:
"Failed to load film strip bitmaps" and "Failed to load caption bar bitmaps". The program does open when I click ok but none of the buttons and other options on the program show up properly, and some not at all.

I followed the directions given on this forum to uninstall the program and delete all the files associated with the program, including the registry keys. I also ran System Mechanic afterwords to clean up my computer.

The program was bought online and downloaded.

I would appreciate any help.

I just tried to install an update for Photo Express 6 and a window came up telling me that it can't find the program installed on my computer, which it is. When I click on the icon to open it, the errors I mentioned above come up.

Please help. I really love the program but if this keeps up I'm going to have to ditch it for Photoshop and I really don't want to.
