I'm a long time user of PI 8, then 9, then 10 and now recently just got a upgrade to 11 due to the fact that I needed a RAW editor and it seemed like a good idea. Though I have come to find that most of the good items and stuff in 10 is nowhere to be found in 11.
- BLUR- flatten uneven area
- Beautify skin
are the first 2 that I found since those are the one that I use all the time it kinda upsets me...and further looking made me found that most of everything is gone as well. Hopefully its a error in the download and moving up to the next level of the product hasnt left me with a worse product then i previously had?
any clues?
What happened to all of the 10 features in 11?

It is in there, they moved things around, and I am still looking for stuff. You can do a search for the effect in the Help file and find the info.
Example:
Beautify Skin helps smoothen coarse and uneven skin. Beautify Skin works best when applied on a selection instead on the whole image.
1. Select Photo: Enhance - Beautify Skin.]
2. Use the eyedropper tool and click to select a suitable skin tone from the original image. The selected tone will be shown in Skin tone.
3. In Level, determine the intensity of the effect. The higher the setting, the greater the enhancement.
4. Select a Complexion which controls the overall appearance of the skin, and the level of the effect. The higher the setting, the greater the variation.
Tip: Click to save the effect in the EasyPalette. Click Preview to view the effect at actual size. Zoom in to a region to see the effect at closer range.
5. Click OK.
Note: Beautify Skin effect can only be applied to GB (24-bit True Color) documents.

I always buy the disc from Ulead, so don't know much about the Smart Download. However, here is the link that has Help files and Manuals: http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd.htm

If you have a downloaded version of PI 11 you will need to get the extras separately from the Ulead web site.
PI 10 only had 2 work spaces, basic and standard, PI 11 has a few more and you can also create your own layout. The default layout does only have very limited functions. You need to go to the Advanced layout.
Did you load the PI 11 patch? There were a few flaws with the original release, one of which was that on some systems the easy pallette settings and contents would be lost after you restart the program. That seems to have been fixed with the patch. I wouldn't get rid of any of the older versions installed, they all work happily side by side. I only use PI 11 for RAW images and revert back to PI 10 for everything else.
