vaio gigapocket and analog video with MSP7 - anyone ?

Hi Forum,
Anyone has experience capturing video from an analog source through the gigapocket card from a sony vaio desktop?

Thing is: I can capture video through the (buggy) sony software, but it's limited to PAL here in Europe. So I thought, capturing via MSP7 could allow me to finally read some NTSC videos I got, and transform them into a PAL DVD. I know chances are slim, but perharps someone succeeded in this before.

Just if anyone is asking for this, her what I found out: The gigapocket piece of HW from Sony is either capable of NTSC or PAL, but not both. Both the Tuner (that makes sense) and the video input (that makes no sense) is one norm-only. I tried all forums I know, tried sony (crappy) support, answer is: No no no.
