Fail to burn DVD cannot clear cache

Post by tekwrite »

I am trying to fix a PC running MF 3.5. I am working in another city so cannot see the message. My daughter tries to burn a movie DVD and gets the error about clearing cache. I had her clean out temporary internet files and recycle bin but it did not help. Not sure what the free space is on the 160 GB HD but probably is not much. I can try to find out.

Any ideas? I had this before and it used to always clear the cache when I asked it to.

Thanks.

Most burning problems seem to be due to conflicts with other burning software. (I have no idea if that's the problems here. :? )

If there is other burning software on the machine try "burning" the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to the hard drive instead of an actual DVD. Then, use the other burning software to copy the folders to an actual DVD:

- When you get to the "burn" step, check the box that says Create DVD folders and un-check Create Disc.
