vaio giga pocket, analog video and Mediastudio

Hi Forum,
Anyone has experience capturing video from an analog source through the gigapocket card from a sony vaio desktop?

Thing is: I can capture video through the (buggy) sony software, but it's limited to PAL here in Europe. So I thought, capturing via MSP7 could allow me to finally read some NTSC videos I got, and transform them into a PAL DVD. I know chances are slim, but perharps someone succeeded in this before.

from the old forum it was noted that there was a problem with Sony Vaio's not being compatable with Ulead products.

It was all down to Giga Pocket being a Sony Standard.
