Trouble when burning DVD

Post by Flavius »

Hi, i already unistall, re-installed the software, installed all the patchs, uptades and stuffs like that...

About 3 days ago i was doing fine with the software, using DVDRW and then copying (when sucess) using Nero.

But then i was doing the same thing i am used to do with the software, Add videos, use Mult-trim, create motion menus and then, the software encodes all the videos, create the menu but when it come sto the part that is supose to Burnd the dvdrw, is not burning anymore...

i get thoses messeges:

"The Target device might have some problems, Please try again or reboot (5216)"

"Generic error from cd/dvd recording software. Please make sure the drive is ready and try again"

What could it be? One day was everything ok, then it started those errors...

Reboot

I had something similar happen (I don't remember the error message). I re-booted my machine, disabled my virus scanner, and opened up the software.

Are you using the RW disc, or a different disc?

I always burn the dvd folders (and dvd image) to my hard drive first. Then I burn the dvd image to disc in a separate step.

Note: if your final dvd is larger than 4gb and you have Fat32 formatted drives, you won't be able to create the dvd image, but you can still create the dvd folders...

I got this error....

.....when I added a bunch of clips that were very short (10 - 20 second range). When I joined them and enhanced with random affects between scenes it seemed ok. But when I got to the burn step it gave me that error. I found when you looked in the detail of the error that it prepared to send to microsoft that you could find the module name of the transition clip that caused the problem. In My case, the moral of the story was the clips have to be longer in time length or you need to find a transition that works with short clips. The 3D ones were the ones that gave me the problems. Maybe this sounds familiar????

Hope this helps!!

Im using DVD-RW... i was using the same DVD-RW, but now i have only errors... =/

I cant create the Image file because i have no space in my hd, so, thats why i was burning the dvd.. .but the errors started "out of nowhere"...

I never created the image file, so, if i dreate the .iso file, i can just burn in Nero withou any problems, right?

Create the image

yes, you can create the DVD Folders (or dvd image) to your hard drive, then burn it using another program like Nero DVD (make sure it's burning as a DVD, and if you burn the folders, make sure to put the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders in the "root" directory of the dvd disc.
