Sony HDR-HC3

Hí,
I'd like to buy a Sony HDR-Hc3 videocamera, but I don't know what is the different between the HDV/DV format. Is the HDV format AVI file or not. It is possible to edit HDV with Ulead videostudio 10 or Pinnacle?

HDV is NOT DV, it uses MPEG2 interframe compression instead of DV's intraframe compression.

Regardless, Videostudio 10 will capture from the HDR-HC3 and edit the HDV video it produces.
