MF5 problem: Joining video clips from separate files with default chapter points at each file start, results in 'Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames [533:-2147216477:0]' error just after Audio/Video multiplexing. Burning exits.
This error occurs when i created a project of 10 separate mpg's JOINed and then accepted standard chapter entry points. Thus a chapter menu and main menu are created. The mpg's vary in length totalling around 40mins.
If i UNJOIN them and burn a DVD, it works. So itshouldnt be a media content problem, looks like a bad bit of code.
The mpg's are standard DVD quality 7500 VBR files that all play properly.
Is this a known fault? Do i need a new DLL? If i do where is it?
I also have the Menu Resetting problem where when you browse Menu templates, they are automatically APPLIED thus making you think your saved project didnt save them, but it probably did,its just the browse clobbers them back to the default of the first one that is browsed thus losing all those nicely thought out settings for you.

'Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames'
I have had the same message and error code for a similar project so I think it is a bug.
I have also had problems with DMF5 simply producing a DVD of 3 programmes on the same disc. I have used multi-trim to edit out the ads and then put together a simple menu. I have used the preview function to check the content and it plays perfectly there (all the way through). However when I burn a disc something strange occurs. The sound is edited perfectly but the video starts at a random point 10-15 seconds into the first programme and then continues to take seemingly random slices of the footage (including some of the ads that I thought I had cut out). All the while the sound plays as intended. I cannot work out why the preview shows a perfect production but the burned project is so strange. I have tried this with several different segments of imported content, with the same results. However it does NOT happen with DMF4 (I have used the same footage and similar menu structure) so I can only conclude that it is a bug in DMF5. I think it is something to do with the multi-trim function.
I'd be interested if any other people have experienced this.
