hey man im coming to the rescue because ulead customer support SUKS for as much as i payed for their software

the first thing u should try if u using xp is set the compatibility to run on windows 98 by right clicking on the ulead gif icon and going to properties/ compatibility

if that dont work u shoudl go to the ulead systems folder in your program files, ulead gif animator , and go to the VIO folder
try deleting the vio files one by one until u get it to run , because its probably a codec problem. Ulead gif animator has conflicts with codecs and u might not be able to create video files but u can at lest use it :) i chek on this later see if u got ur answer

hey man, I'm letting this stand for a little while but, please, try to watch your language.

I can see your qualifications to bag ULEAD support, you have a Massive number of posts here, just one, this one.

Your advice to  delete one vio file after the other until it works is the silliest approach I have ever come accross. If these files are not needed, why don't you delete them all?

Hello hayatalain,

and welcome to the forum. First things first. Please reduce your font size for your post. Most people would have to scroll horizontally in order to read it in its entirety, very annoying. :?

Your problem can be caused by a number of things. To get closer to the possible cause, we need more details concerning your system and software running on it.

We have had this type of error happening with many programs and, more often than not, this error is caused by the Windows OS. And No you don't need to run GA in compatibility mode. It runs very well under XP.

Do you have a problem with any other aspect of PI?

Which version of DirectX are you running?

In the Web Utilities forum, a much better plattform for your request by the way, you will find this

http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=12369

giving you instructions as to how to go about deleting certain vio files. In the same forum you will also find a thread pointing out what sort of info we need to help.

hayatalain,
Do you use something from there: http://www.3ivx.com/ ?
This seems to solve the problem for some number of people:
regsvr32 /U 3ivxDSEncoder.ax

X.
