Scrolling images with text

Post by jdubya »

Hi,
I am working on my end credits and my idea is to run scrolling images with text. The images will be people from the movie with their names below or to the left/right of in the overlay track..Can this be done in VS8?I've tried doing this using separate tracks for each(image, text) but it doesn't synch up properly.Anyone have any ideas or links?TIA.

I have a suggestion that I've done on some of my ending video's. I don't believe you can scroll images.

1)-Place a color in the upper track
2)-Place the image/video in the overlay track to fit left or right to center
3)-Place your titles to the left or right of the image or video (in the overlay)

In order to have it synch its a matter in the lenght of the title vs overlay.

good luck

Thanks, Rich.I've tried your suggestion and was able to fake a scrolling effect using the start off screen/ end off screen animation setting for the stills I'm using.I was also able to synch the text scroll with the still animation but my clip has to be atleast 4 sec's long to have it go at the proper speed and the length in between stills is too large so I think I'm going to have to just use fades instead, unless there's a plugin or something. Thanks for the suggestion! :)
