Viewing Frames in Edit Mode

Post by dtspinella »

I am having a problem where in the Edit mode Timeline Window no matter how much I zoom in (down to Frame) the ruler changes but the window doesn't. It just stays at a thumbnail view. How do I get it to view the individual frames? It doesn't matter what type of file (mpg, avi, ...)

Thanks for any help! :?

Are you positive you are in timeline view and not "thumbnail view"? The former showS up like a film strip with all other tracks - overlay, title, audio. The later just showS a picture of the first fram in the clip.

Guy -

Yep - Definitely in Timeline view and not Storyboard view.

You might try going to Preferences (F6), then using the Pull-Down menu for Clip Display Mode change it to Thumbnail only. That should give you a thumbnail for every frame.

Ron -

Thank you. Worked like a charm. I only wish the User Manual had spelled that out - would have save me a lot of frustration.

Thanks again,
