Ok now that I'm diving into this a bit deeper (no swim fins, mask, or snorkel), I'm getting some strange results.
1.
No sir they are not.Staying with drag and drop I have a similar problem dragging multiple files from the timelines to the library. Can you try this.
Place say 20 clips in the timeline in order, then drag the first 4 to the library (use a new library page) now drag the next 4 and so on.
Are they in order?
Next using the drag-n-drop from Windows, I found that the order also depended on which thumbnail I grabbed for dragging. This is in the Windows Folder ok? I had the sort set to by name, which the images and clips were mixed together.
1. I used a random selection method, selecting clip, image, clips, images.
2. I did not grab the first clip to drag into VS, but one of the other subsequent ones.
3. The order they were inserted into VS, was based on the clip I Grabbed. It would be the First one on the timeline, even if it was the 10th, or 3rd whatever..
4. If I just used Shift Click to select, then grabbed the first clip it maintained the order.
I thought it may have something to do with how Windows is interpreting the sort order, top-bottom then left-right or left-right, top-bottom. However that's when I discovered #3 above.
So far I haven't tried renaming any of my clips and images. Probably get a whole different set of results doing so.
