Displaying DateTime on video

Post by terry_wahl@msn.com »

Basic question but how do I get the DateTime to display in th video. Do I need to capture the video with the DateTime displayed or can I use VideoStudio to display it somehow?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Terry, and welcome to the forums..:)

To display the date and timecode, go to File>Preferences (or press F6 on your keyboard). On the General Tab at the bottom, check Display DV Timecode on Preview Window.

Now this will display the Date/Timecode as long as you capture to DV, and only while previewing in Clip Mode. The Date/Timecode will not be displayed on your video file you create.

You may want to try DV Date which inlays the date or timecode like the old analogue video used to do. It is one of several Freebies found in our FreeStuff for Ulead Products Section.

Hi Vidoman,
Thanks for the info. I've downloaded the application and will give it a try.
Thanks again!
