I have the supplied copy of MF2 SE that came with my AverDVD Ezmaker USB 2.0 and I'm having some problems with jerky action shots and audio sync in a DVD that I have created from a Satellite digibox AV capture in MF2.
Am I going to be able to solve these problems in MF2 SE or should I upgrade/purchase another product in the Ulead range to be able to get reasonable quality captures from the sat box.
Movefactory 2 SE what Upgrade options do I have?

I don't know if it will help, but you can download the free trial version of Movie Factory 5 and give it a try. And, like Steve said, you might give VS10 a try too. (With MF2, you don't qualify for the upgrade price.

Most analog-capture devices come with capture software created specifically to work with the hardware. It's usually best to use that software for the capture step.
Is the Digibox a capture device, or is it just a tuner that's feeding analog video to the AverMedia device?
What format are you capturing to? Can you capture to DV format, or are you stuck with MPEG? (MPEGs can sometimes get corrupted simply by editing them.)
Does the captured file play OK as-captured, before it's burned to a DVD? (If it's bad at that point, you have a capture problem. But, if it plays OK, you really can't tell.
It might be corrupted, and that corruption can cause problems later when you make a DVD.

Thank you both for your feedback. I'll follow-up your suggestions re the demo versions and post another thread if I still have problems.
Thanks,
Peter
No, the Avermedia USB sends the A/V feed from the digibox to the PC/software. The picture quality if fine, just the jerky action shots and the audio sync.Question Is the Digibox a capture device, or is it just a tuner that's feeding analog video to the AverMedia device?
DVD with no editing - I just captured three clips using the good, better, best options for the mpeg settings.Question What format are you capturing to? Can you capture to DV format, or are you stuck with MPEG? (MPEGs can sometimes get corrupted simply by editing them.)
The jerky action shots are present on the initial capture so we'll have to see what the later versions of the software produce. I'm sure I had it capturing o.k. in the past, it was just that then, the depth of field wasn't very good on the initial capture.Question Does the captured file play OK as-captured, before it's burned to a DVD? Thanks,
