I'm not having much luck solving the problem of getting me VCR tapes into VS9
Has anyone tried this unit--

It looks like a better idea that trying to get a VCR with a DV out.

Certainly looks as though it would do the job of converting the incoming analogue signal to digital DV on the fly. so if you have the $129, go for it.
However, you might first want to take a look at my most recent post on your other 'freeze' thread...
