Printing question...

Post by Legend »

Does anyone here do extensive printing using a laser printer with photos, business cards, fliers, etc. that you have designed in PI?

If so, what kid of printer do you have? Do you like it or hate it?

Thanks for the info...

I have PI 10 and recenlty, I have been getting errors when I try to print. The errors are the typical WinXP "memory cannot be read". This only happens in PI 10 no matter if I use a desktop inkjet or networked laser printer. So as it stands now, I hate it.

Works just fine for me using either hp photo printer or hp laserjet.

What seems to be your problem?

I did find out that 99% of users trying to use a network printer under PI (10) will run into problems. Photo Explorer, etc. will print just fine.

Where did you "find this out?"
Guess that I am doing something wrong.
Computer #1, which I use, PI 10, 2.8mhz P4, 512megs, Win XP sp2
Computer #2, which my wife uses, PIXL, Celeron 600, 512megs, Win 98SE.
HP 6L (Laser)(Parallel port); HP 7260 (Photo Printer)(USB2).
No printing problems anywhere.
Or maybe I'm in the Lucky 1%

I got that straight from tech support at Ulead. Doesn't make sense, because PI 8 worked great with network printing. Go figure.
