With the Smartscene Menus I don't think that just sending you a file would work. It is a little more complex then like an image file...fofilou wrote:OK, thank you for all information. Bye for now!
PS If you had this menu " D5vs_OneSD5 ", you would give it to me. We are here to help...
Bye!

Ron is correct sending the UFO file would not work, the smartscene menus are just a part of a bigger picture. There are macro style routines contained in various files - written in a computer language along the lines of C++, Visual Basic or some other like language. Not only that there are various entries in various ini files.
I would not recommend anyone attempt to mess with them.
Besides there is no need. Sorry to harp about the link to my tutorial again but have you even read it?
If so you will see that if you break a smartscene menu down into a simple question:-
"What is a smartscene Menu" you will find that (other than the style of the frames- which isn't THAT important)
you only in fact have TWO smartscene menus.
One has three links, the other four.
A smartscene menu has a background image - this can be replaced.
Navigation buttons - they can be customised and moved.
Text - That can be customised and moved.
A single Thumbnail. - That can be moved and rotated.
Background music - that can be changed
There is very little else. about the only things that cannot be changed are
The Style of the thumbnail - e.g. you can't make it a heart shape.
The Style of the thumbnails frame.
Any overlays that have been included - I think you can live with that.

Content Pack
Has anyone succesfully downloaded the Content Pack lately?
I purchased the download version last week. I have the software succesfully installed, but Monday I went to apply the Content Pack that I downloaded and realized I didn't get the whole file. Now I can't even connect to the FTP site. I read through this post and I'm using the same ftp link that was posted. I followed the advice and installed GetRight. It says "Connected, logging in." Then "Get right has timed out getting a response from the server." It's as if the file is no longer up there. I've been trying for 2 days now.
btw, No response from ULEAD support form I filled out other than the "we've recieved your request..."

Content Pack

Internet explorer or a download manager such as getright.

Code: Select all

Steve, does this "code" work for you today?
Thanks. I get a page can not be displayed in Internet Explorer and I already described the problems with GetRight.

All very strange. Reading this thread a few days ago, I tried the link just to see what happens. It connected and offered to download the file to a designated folder. I accepted, again just to see what happened next. It actually started downloading immediately, but at only 1.2 kbps! Unacceptably slow for such a huge file. So of course I terminated it. Or at least, I thought I had.
But just yesterday, the downloaded file (UVS_contentpack_(e).exe) appeared on my desktop (where I normally download files). So obviously, my termination of the download had not worked.
Anyway, having the file there, I decided to try to open it. The unpacking began, but then an error message appeared, telling me that unpacking could not proceed as the file was corrupt. Go figure.
But all this only confirms to me that there is something serious wonky with Ulead's download system, just as some of the posters in this thread have claimed. And I can only imagine, and sympathise with, their frustration if they actually managed to download the file and then were confronted with a 'file is corrupt' message...
Mind you, I accept that in my case the file could have been corrupted for any number of reasons ... but I can only be suspicious given the other problems raised in association with this particular file. And the fact that it appears now to have been taken off the server (I confirm that I can no longer access it as well), only further confirms my suspicions.
