DVD Movie factory 5 - Saving Created menus

Post by Rog »

I am having problems - that once I create a menu and save, and exit DMF and then reload the same project all the formating and menus have gone.... disappeared and I have to re-setup. Help.....

The procedure is almost identical to VideoStudio.

I know how to setup new/custom menus and they are fine while MF5 is open, but when I save the project and then reopen all menu formating is GONE.

Known problem. Search for "menus" and you'll find posts like "Why don't menus save?":
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... ight=menus

You need a modified umfnormaledittask.dll from support, because there is no official fix yet.
I can't give you the link due to severe security issues.

(BTW, did you even bother to search here before posting?)

Thanks for replying Snoops.... Yes I searched the forum first and found some detail but No fixes.... I have lodged 2-3 cases with tech support to have no response...(except the automated response)

I believe from my investigations and from your email I need an updated DLL but am unable to find and since tech support aint helping thought someone in the forums may help.....

Sorry if I caused any problems.....

I, too, have had this problem. I've tried e-mailing support with the form, but no matter what I put in for "capture device", it errors and tells me to put something in it. Way to go!

Need a fix :(

I too have the same problem. worked fine in MF4 but MF5 loses the saved background. It keeps the title and chapter titles but the background goes to smartbackground one. I also cannot send question due to "capture device" which for me is IEEE 1394. :(
