cannot open file and get error message

when I try to open a MF file, it crashes. When i look at the report it states something to do with the HerDocdll.dll file.
using MF 4. Already tried a repair of the installation.

Suggestions? Very maddenning.

I may have found a "work-a-round." The program would crash whenever I deleted the opening video, that is when the program would crash. But I had that video initially as "use first clip as introductory video". However if I unchecked it, then delete the crash does not occur.
Hopefully issue resolved.
