ULead Support
has anyone had support from their 'support dept.'? Sent an email 2 weeks ago and not a reply as yet. For those who've been fortunate enough to have had support, what was their tuenaround period, or am I jumping the gun and best to sit and wait.

Hi Heinz,heinz-oz wrote:Please check your bulk mail/spam mail folder. We have had cases where ISP settings made mail from Ulead disappear into these.
In all my requests for support I received a reply within 24 hours.
perhaps I should have clarified, I sent them my request to which they asked me for my systems files which I duly replied with and it's since then I've not had a reply -2 weeks today. The reply box was received ok by my 'inbox' and I've not received any NDR's to the reply I sent. On a different note, I've read in other forums of the same happening. I am not trying to start a Ulead bashing campaign as I think some of their software is very user friendly, however with the problems I've had with DMF5 and now their after sales service, I think all potential users should be made aware of current users dissatisfacton and weigh it as they see fit.

I didn't try to defend ULEAD, just stating happenings from the past.
I'm sorry about your problems and really do not know how to help you further. Ulead's reputation for support has not been good for quite some time now but I always received a reply over night.
One thing I noticed myself many times is this, some advertising from Ulead ends up in my Inbox at Yahoo while replies from support often end up in my Bulk mail. Don't know what triggers my ISP's spam filter but at least I have the possibility to look at these messages before I delete them completely.

More Tech Support ?
I sent a request on June 8, 2006 to Tech Support to advise me on how to get or import an mp3 song to run in the Menu. So far this is what I've received:
Thank you for contacting Ulead technical support team.
We will respond to you as soon as possible.
Removed at request of Moderator
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS SYSTEM GENERATED EMAIL.

I also have not had any luck with Support. I have used Movie Factory since version 1. When I went to Version 5, I no longer can burn DVD. I get an error [519:0:0] immediately. I contacted support. They requested my system files. That was about 3-4 weeks ago. Still awaiting a answer.

Support
It seems that when MF5 works, it works well. When it doesn't work due to your particular setup, then it seems the purchaser is SOL. The reason I bought it was because of MF4 SE which was bundled with a capture card CD. It worked and worked very well. So I "upgraded" to MF5. My only complaint is the imported MP3 issue and lack of response from the people who got my money.

I'm not at home right now so cannot double check but I think that the steps with MovieFactory are the same or almost identical to VideoStudio when you get to the authoring stage.TOF wrote:.... how to get or import an mp3 song to run in the Menu. ....

Thanks for your response. Instead of hijacking this thread even more, I'll open another specific thread.sjj1805 wrote:I'm not at home right now so cannot double check but I think that the steps with MovieFactory are the same or almost identical to VideoStudio when you get to the authoring stage.TOF wrote:.... how to get or import an mp3 song to run in the Menu. ....
