Tommy,

There should be a *.hlp file located in the Main folder for Cool 3D 3.5. It should have been installed with your initial installation. Did you purchase the ESD version? If you have the CD, you can browse the disc for the *.hlp file, and then copy into the Cool3D folder.

Just for example, the help file for Cool3D Production Studio is named U3DEDIT4.HLP.

Which link are you finding dead? I just tried the manual, and it took several seconds to open the link, but finally did.

The above listed link is for a Help file, but it is for Cool

3.0 and not 3.5. When I download and open to install, it keeps asking for me to install 3.0 Is there a Help file like this, but for 3.5 which is what I have installed on my computer?

help files?

Post by cliveports »

take a look at this page it may help.............

http://www.ulead.com/cool3d/documents.htm

Also, I printed the Documents out and essentially you print out V3.0 and then the manual for 3.5 is just a small addendum to 3.0

Those are the help files for version 3.0

Post by tommytucker »

I tried to install those and it asks for me to install 3.0, however I upgraded to 3.5. I looked over 30 sec and still can't find 3.5 help files, but thanks for the advice. Ulead still has not gotten me an answer either.

I have 3.5 and just downloaded the help files from the page above and they installed perfectly, not sure why they wont for you, sorry I cant be of more hlep. (BTW, there's not a lot of differnce between the two and its misleading because it says they are 3.0 but they actually include 3.5!!)

So where do you get the help files for 3.5??

Post by snoops »

The download purchase of COOL 3D 3.5 does not include any help files.
The Ulead download for the help files found here:
http://www.ulead.com/tech/c3d/c3d_ftp.htm
fails to install with a severe error stating:
"Please install Ulead COOL 3D 3.0 first
This is not an upgrade, so there is no 3.0 to install first.

Those of you without this problem had 3.0 on your system and probably still have traces of it on the system.

This is so stupid.

Hello support? How about answering my request form just once... which you've never done in the past. I really wonder if anybody actually works on support requests.
No, I don't have a spam filter that swallows your response... there simply is no response. But I do get all your marketing email.

For COOL 3D 3.5 Documents there will be 2 parts. 1 is for 3.0 and the other is for new features in 3.5, if I remember correctly.

In http://www.ulead.com/cool3d/documents.htm it mentioned "For COOL 3D Online Help Files, you can download them by using the "Free Downloads" button on your Standard Toolbar and select "New 3.0 Users" once you've installed Ulead COOL 3D.

H.T.,

Thanks for answering, but like I said the download exe for the program help (all the HLP files) does not install on 3.5. It only looks for 3.0.

Anyway, I actually got an answer from support :D
They sent me a link to a help file installer (C3D35_ESD_Help_E.exe) that works with 3.5. The link was not shown on the website or the order confirmation.

Another method I discovered while poking around is to download and install the trial version, which did include the HLP files.
