better fisheye filter?

Post by stannmaple »

I'm looking for a better fisheye filter. I like the filter that comes with video studio ok, but it only effects the middle. I would like the same effect, only stretched across the whole screen. I don't see any way to customize this effect so that I can achieve this. It does not even look like it is possible under "customize." I just downloaded fxbench and found another fisheye filter in here, but it distorts the image beyond recongnition. Is there anyway to customize this without being a computer programmer? Thanks.

Dann,

I don't see anyway to customize this filter, other then the 3 presets provided in the pull-down menu. Did you try each one of them?

You might also try Burgers FX Bench and create your own fisheye..

I did a Google search but couldn't find another fisheye filter so took a look at what we have.

The best I can come up with is to place the video onto an overlay track and use the distort options. Don't know if this will do what you're hoping but its the better than nothing.

Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately I'm pretty new at this stuff, so I think most of what you said went right over my head. I did in fact download the fxbench and it's great. I have no idea how to make my own filter or customize another one though. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Again, thanks.
