MOVIE FACTORY 5 ?

I have movie factory 5 but I don't know whether I can record live tv from it, is it capable of doing that, or just editing video clips.

That's going to depend on your particular TV-Tuner Card.

Generally, you'll get the best results with the software that comes with your Tuner Card.

As Doug said, best to use the software that comes with the card but...
