Hello,
I have a big problem with version 5. Version number is 5.0.0001.0 TBYB.
I installed it, tested 4 or 5 time the creation of a DVD, all worked fine (I stopped before burning). I lauched it a more time, and the launcher didn't lauch the 2 first choices (I have a french version, I think they call "Video disk" and "Panorama disk").
If I try to lauch, I can select what type of DVD I want to create and click "Ok", the launcher disapears, the hard disk works a little, and the launcher reappears ! Without any error message.
The last choices, "Import", "Edit a disk", "Copy" and "Tools" work fine.
I uninstalled it, cleaned all the directories (in "program file", in "shared files", the temp directory) , cleaned the registry), rebooted the computer, tried to install/launch without the antivirus/antispywares/firewall. But nothing to do: the 2 first choices don't launch !
There are no entries for the 5 version in the FAQ, and a TBYB version can't have any support. I try here: has anyone and idea ?
V5 TBYT Launcher launch ... not a lot of things
Hi,
the current English TBYB version is 5.0.0189.0 (the original trial version was replaced some time ago).
The first 2 choices are Video Disc and Slide Show.
They both started MF5 when I tried it.
So either the French version or your installation is broken.
Doesn't help you I guess, but at least you know that it is not a general problem.

Hello,
I re-downloaded the version I reinstalled; it's not a corrupt installation file problem.
The only thing what differed, and maybe it's significant, is that I tried just before Videostudio 10, noticed that it was too complex for my use, tried Movie factory, uninstalled Videostudio, and then Movie factory did'nt woks.
I tried to reinstall Video studio (mayby some components are "gone away" with it), but Moviefactory don't work. At every try, I make au fulle uninstallation, cleaning of all the directories and regostry.
It's just a Try-before-You-Buy, I think I will not buy it ! But it's a pity, the product makes very easy very nice DVD.
I will try with an english version, as you suggest.

Hi,
I tried english version: Video Disc and Slide Show launch well.
In fact, it seems that the TBYT splash screen, which ask if you want to try the product, buy it and other choices is the problem.
But why did it launch 5 ou 6 times without problem ? I reinstalled the french version, and the problem is back.
French version seems buggy on this point.
If someone of Ulead read this (I know it's not a support forum): please, have a look on the TBYT splash screen of the french version !
And if someone has an idea to workaround ... it will be welcome !
