Task does not Record Move commands

Post by dennisca »

The move commands are not recorded in the Task.
Is this true in all installs or just an error in mine?

Can you be more specific? Are you trying to move an object, window, or somthing else?

I'm moving an object. when I move an object during a task recording, the movement of the object is not recorded.

Unfortunately PI XL, 10, and 11 do not support mouse movements. However, there is a workaround, although a bit long.

Create the Base image file. Create a second transparent image with the same dimensions as the Base image.

Create the object in the base image. Copy the object to the transparent image; place the object in the Final location. Leave the object selected and save the tansparent image to file.

When you Record the Task open the transparent image and Copy the selection from and Paste as an Object to a new image.

The drawback, the new file must be the same size as the original transparent image. You could create a second task to crop the new image. You could use one task to record the movement of all of these objects.

Use this technique to move each additional object. A separate file is required for each new object.
