I am new with Ulead MovieFactory. This is my problem:
MF 3.5 allows only VCD output when I select Create Video Disc. I have installed a Pioneer DVR-610 DVD burner to my P4 3.0 Window XP Prof system (service pack 1). The burner property, however, indicates that it is a CD-Rom (instead of DVD-Rom, am I correct to assume this?). Even when I insert a 8x DVD -R disc into the burner, MF still assume the burner is a CD burner only. When I install the HW, Window automatically install the driver for Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D. I have since upgrade the Firmware to DVR110D 1.41. But nothing changed.
Please help. If I got the wrong driver, please advice where to get updated/correct driver.
Thanks.
Marco...
Ron,
Thanks for the help. I will look into MF 5 and ugrade if needed. I just want to make sure the HW and its driver is installed properly, before I try other option.
Thanks again.

Hi Marco, and welcome to the forums..
I'm not familiar with DMF3.5 deluxe. Is it a purchased version or did it come with some hardware?
If it is the latter, then it is a bundled version and may have the ability to burn or create DVD files disabled. I have MSP7.0SE and it also does not allow creating/burning a DVD.
It it is a Freebie version, then you may want to consider upgrading /purchasing a more current version. The current release is DMF5, or DMF4 Disc Creator. DMF5 did not replace DMF4 DC, as the latter has some features not available in DMF5. Go to Ulead's website and download a TBYB (trial) version and see what you think. Keep in mind that with the trial versions, some minor things are disabled, one being Dolby Digital. This is not by Ulead's doing. Dolby requires a license fee to use their technology, so being included in free programs will not happen.
I attempted to locate the User manual for DMF3 and Ulead apparently no longer has it on their website, even though the Updates are still accessible. I think they should keep those documents readily accessible.
