DMF5 - Incredibly Slow Video Capture

Post by nutsy »

I recently "upgraded" from DMF4 to 5. Now when I Capture video from a firewire device, it takes an incredibly long time to finalize after the actual capture is ended. With Version 4 this usualy took a few seconds. Now with Version 5, a one-hour capture takes over 15 minutes to finish processing/creating the file (with a progress bar shown on the screen).

I'm using the same settings as with Version 4 - GQ 4:3 (90 min/4.7G)

Has anyone else seen this? Is there any way to fix it? I don't want to re-install Ver 4, but that's definitely my next step.

DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator is an all-in-one disc burning solution, while DVD MovieFactory 5 updates some of the menu authoring features, as well as adding HD support. So, if your need is for basic but wide-spectrum disc burning, MovieFactory 4 should meet your needs.

However, if you want the latest in creative menu authoring, plus you are getting ready to join the high-definition revolution, then DVD MovieFactory 5 is right for you!

In fact, if you already own Disc Creator and wish to upgrade to version 5, we suggest you keep them both installed for the widest possible range of disc burning functionality.
