it is said here that

JVC® hard drive camcorder MOD file format is supported.
my question is:
has anyone tried this?
does it work straight forword or it needs a plug in?
thanks

If it doesn't work, there is a very easy solution:hamohd70 wrote:it is said here that

rename the .mod files to .mpg, and they will work with any program that reads MPEG-2 files, including Ulead programs.

JVC .MOD
The JVC camcorder uses standard MPEG 2 encoding with AC3 2 channel audio. My daugther has one. Who knows why they chose the .MOD extension.

i downloaded a trial version of vs10 to try it with the JVC mod files and found that it isi possible to import the mod file directly into the library or through the capture page -> import from mobile devices.
i then tried to make a movie file (mpeg2) , it went fine with no problems.
so there will be no need to change the ext. to mpeg for it to work.
thank you all.
