Conversion of MPEG2 1440 x 1080 to WMV HD 1440 x 1080

Post by JJA »

Hi to all,

Using VS10.

I'm trying to convert MPEG2 1440 x 1080 from my HDR-HC3 to WMV HD 1440 x 1080. :?

Is this possible? When I change the output format to WMV HD NTSC 1440 x 1080 in the share folder, I end up with a very small frame of WMV video.

I want to do the above conversion so that I can play my HD video files on
an x-box 360. The x-box appears not to be able to play the HD MPEG file.

Thanks four your comments.

I tried this and it worked fine. The WMF file played back in WMP with proper aspect ratio, etc. It also played back as a clip in VS10+. I don't know anything about playback on the xBox360. What are you using for playback when you see the small image?

VS10+ shows a small downsized playback in a large window.

Thanks John for your reply.

Are you selecting the SHARE/Project Playback button with the WMF file in the timeline? When I do this, the picture is presented as a small window within a large black border and the video does not playback smoothly.

I recommend using Windows Media Player for playback of completed WMF files rather then Video Studio. Media Player Classic also works well for high def playback.
