I would go to the Nero site and download (free) something called the 'General-Clean Tool'. Note that they have various tools depending on the version of Nero you are using. This tool even purports to clean out all registry settings -- and believe me, Nero inserts a lot. I have had to do the occasional registry clean manually to get rid of references to Nero and Ahead, and it takes about half an hour a time. I only just downloaded this tool the other day, but have not yet had the opportunity (or rather, the need) to use it yet. So I can't really comment on its effectiveness. But it's worth trying.

I used that tool to remove all of Nero. Made no difference, program still freezes as soon as I click on the CD.
