I've burned a few DVDs with MF4, and everything worked fine. But suddenly, with both MF4 and MF5, files that are supposed to be 700 MB are indicated in the program(s) as being more than 5 GB.
Instead of being able to put many into one disk, suddenly just getting one is almost impossible. Right now I've been trying to burn a film for several hours, and MF5 seems to be stuck on:
"Convert Menu 28%"
"Building motion background of the menu page 9%"
What is going on here?
Massive files won't burn
Please tell us something about your file format, and how you captured it. The Read This First... post at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know in order to help you.
Are these DivX or Xvid files? These are going to become bigger when converted to DVD/MPEG-2. 5GB is not unusual for a 1.5 hour MPEG-2... but it all depends on the bitrate and audio format. And, several users have reported that DivX/Xvid files take forever or lock-up....supposed to be 700 MB... as being more than 5 GB. ...for several hours....
