Pex.exe Error Box

I can't use Photo explorer 8 SE basic, Cuz evertime I open it, it has a program error.. sayin'.. "Pex.exe has generated errors and will be closin' windows. an error log is being created" I tried to "repair it".... Help?

Every time PE 8.0 has started crashing with a fatal error for me I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it. That's worked for me so far.

I get the same message, when I open it. I think it is conflicting with another photo viewer, possibly photoshop, there must be a setting or tweak to correct this, as of now I am still looking, hey, ULEAD, can you help us????

Go to the following folder:

[PEX install folder]\VIO

and rename the uvAVI.vio file to uvAVI.bak then start PEX to try.

However, it will disable the AVI playing capability of PEX. If you double clicks on an AVI file in PEX, it will use the default player in Windows to play the video.

If this works, then some audio / video codec packs in the system is conflicted with uvAVI.vio and you need to disable the codec pack to make PEX work with the AVI playback capability.
