The trial version hs some features not enabled (such as Dolby audio). But I thought it would have mpeg-4 enabled since a lot of people would be wanting to test that particular one out.
Certainly in my full version of VS10+, when I have a file in the timeline and I go to Share > Create Video File, I have no less than 4 mpeg-4 choices: specified to be for iPod, PSP, PDA/PMP and mobile phone. And indeed, if you are wanting to output to mpeg-4 which uses the carrier format of .avi (e.g. DivX or XVid), you can use Custom to set up a template for that too.

hi...
thanks for the quick reply...i still can't find any mpeg 4 option in this trial version...i don't know why they would do that especially since i think mpeg4 is the usp of 10+....and the funny thing is i can't contact them directly and ask if there is any plugin or so coz ppl using trial versions can't ask questions...but i wouldn't want to purchase it if it produces the same result as all the other ipod softies....thanks for teh help anyways...if u have any suggestion of a plug in...it would be a realhelp

Essentially, I don't think there are any plug-ins which will work with a trial version, period. Have you looked at Share > Create Video File and then chosen 'Custom' at the bottom of the drop down menu? Then, with mpeg as the general format, go into Options to see if indeed there is any reference to mpeg-4...?
Otherwise, I can only conclude that mpeg-4 is not enabled in the trial version, which, as I said originally, I would find extremely strange. Certainly, on a quick look at the Ulead web site, I cannot find any suggestion that it has been disabled in the trial version. Mind you, I also couldn't find anything to suggest Dolby is not available in the trial version, but I already knew that it definitely was not for licensing fee reasons on Dolby's behalf.
