Inserting new image

When adding a new image within the story board how do you get the overlays and text to move alond with corresponding images. I find I have to manually move them along .

What version of VS are you using. If it is VS8 or earlier, you have to move things manually (though in VS8, I understand you can highlight all the things you want to move and then right click and move them together). Ripple editing is included in VS9 and 10 and is enabled through a small icon to the left of the top channel in the timeline (hover your mouse over it to identify it).

Thankyou I am using V10 Plus now and I didnt know what the rippling effect did thanks for the quick reply.

In a nutshell - ripple editing means grouping several separate clips together as though they are one and they all move at the same time.

Cut something away and the hole closes, bit like pulling your hand out of a bucket of water.
