I recently had to rebuild my server and after installing the DVD Movie Factory software that came with my Pioneer 106D burner, I wasn't able to boot up my system. All of the latest service from M$ has been applied. I also installed the latest patch from ULEAD's support website.
To bringup the machine, I created a second instance of the OS on another disk, then went to the WINNT\system32\drivers directory of the orignal partition and removed three files that were installed that had filenames of saicdr.sys, sainull.sys and saiudf.sys. I believe these were installed by WriteDVD software. I do know that if I remove these files, I can boot the original partition, but have now lost use of my DVD and CDRW drives.
I uninstalled WriteDVD and it looks like I have access to both drives again.
Has anyone encountered this problem and have a better solution?
