Also i have problems with playing a create disc dvd. I have told all things for the dvd in a other post so i will not tire you again.
The point now is i have a avi file type dv1 lower field first. Create a new project and load the avi in create disc. Making the dvd and set the mpeg settings the same as the avi that say to lower field first.
Problem: playing the dvd it has stottering in zooming in to photo's and some stottering in walking people. It is very annoing.
Playing the avi file all is well!, no stottering.
What i am goiing to try is to create the dvd without any program's in memory, maybe that works.
Maybe you have some suggestions?

Yes, I think you are making a mistake in burning the disc from a DV/AVI source file. The recommended procedure is set out in the first sticky post on this Board. But briefly, with each project, you should first be going from the edited project (which is in DV/AVI format) to Share > Create Video File > DVD, and producing a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 file.
You will need to work out the compression rate you use from the amount of video you want to fit on disc. (Roughly, a compression rate of 8000 kbps will give you around an hour on a single layer DVD; 6000 kbps -- 1.5 hours; 4000 kbps -- 2 hours).
Then when you have all of the final mpeg-2s you want, you close your last project, and open Share > Create Disc > DVD. You then insert the DVD-compliant mpeg-2s you have produced, build your menus etc and then burn. Make sure you click 'do not convert compliant mpeg files' in the cogwheel icon to the bottom left of the burning screen.
You are, of course, free to follow any work flow you want, and for some, the truncated method of burning direct from a project - or, in your case, direct from an edited DV/AVI file - works. But the broad experience on this Board supports the work flow I have described above.

I'm a newbie and no expert, but completely agree with Ken. Its a case of RTFM I'm afraid. I had stuttering DVDs and got fed up with it so I read the STICKY that is clear in that you should never try to burn your project directly, instead create a file, clear the timeline (i.e. get your project out o fVS, then burn. In fact what I do is create an MPEG, then create ISO then burn using NEro. Hope this helps!
