Hi all
I have encode video (DVD ready) in both PAL and NTSC formats
The Pal version is fine and fits on a normal 4.7G disc
The Video but in NTSC takes about 6.5G
I realize I have to change the setting but where do you do it ?
Thanks if any one can help me
How to change settings from Pal to NTSC

YOu do it with a proper standards converter, the conversion that takes place with VS and other editing apps is a very poor way of doing it, riddled with propblems as you have found.
If you have many to do then invest in something like canopus procoder, if you have only this one it'd be easiest to get a professional to do it for you.

Hi,
Lancecarr has done a tutorial on converting PAL-NTSC or vice-versa. You can read it here:

There is no mention of the different way NTSC and PAL handle crominance and luminace, (colour/brightness) in the tutorial or how it is converted from one to the other using this method.vidoman wrote:Hi,
