Hello everyone. I hope someone can help.
I am not new to DVD burning but I am new with Ulead software.
I have Ulead Movie Factory 3 with all the new patches installed.
I have Haugepauuge pci 150
Here is the problem:
I captured a kids show (1hr long) from a local free channel using WINTV2000.
Wintv2000 created an mgeg file that I can play on my pc.
However I am trying to convert this file to be played on a DVD player.
I followed all the steps on Movie factory 3 software, however when playing on a DVD player, the DVD player states (cannot be played)
What am I missing?
Thanks
Problem with reading DVD after creation

Hi,
What are the properties of the MPEG file you created to play on your computer, MPEG-1?
What are your capture properties? They should match your video file propertes, ie; MPEG-2, PAL-DVD (or NTSC-DVD)...
You should be able to play a DVD on your computer, so why not save having to either create another file to burn to DVD, and just create a DVD-Compliant video file?
Also you might complete your System Specs in your Profile, it can help us in troubleshooting your problems now and later on, should you have more problems..

I think the problem is likely to be your burn speed.
I have a 16x burner and use 8x discs.
I have found that burning at speeds higher than 4x produces a DVd that is unreliable. The same disc will
Play correctly in some standalone DVD players
Play erratically in othrs
Refuse to play in yet others.
Never seem to have a problem though if I burn at 4x (or less)
