Firewire/ Sony DCRPC2E

Post by SW Steve »

Hi guys, just fitted a firewire card to my PC so I can edit and transfer from all my miniDV tape to pc then to dvd. When I open VideoStudio and connect my camera I dont see it in the source box so get no video. In device manager the firewire card is installed correctly. The VideoStudio manual says I should also see my video camera as a named device there too but it isnt. How do I get my camera recognised by VideoStudio ?

Thanks in advance, Steve :D

Just an update on this- When I plug in my cam, VS opens and recognises my camera but after a few seconds it seems to lose it in the source box. I have opened device manager then plugged in my cam and switched on, The manager seems to refresh and show my cam in imaging devices then after a few seconds, refreshes again and loses the cam? The window can refresh two or three times showing the camera then losing it again. Any ideas folks? Cheers Steve

Loose cable, faulty cable, flat battery - use the mains lead.
