ReUseing Menu

Post by ray36 »

I use the the same backgrounds and text when creating a lot of my menues. Is there a way to save menus that I design so I can just change some of the text and reuse them again on a different project?

I've used Save As to save the project under a new name. Then I delete the old video and insert a new video. Since the newly imported video doesn't have any chapters yet, the chapter buttons are un-linked, but they are still there.

There may be a better way, but that's one way to do it and it worked for me.

Thank you! I have never seen "save as" on any menu. Sense you said there was one I looked until I found it. The little triangle next to the save icon will reviel it. I Also found that "Ctl E" is the short cut for "save as". I shoot wedding videos and the menus are all very similar. You have saved me from having to make up almost the same menu that I have made before. Thank you again.

Step 1. Prepare your Menu in DVD Workshop.

Step 2. Right click the Thumbnail representation of the Menu along the bottom of the screen. A dialog box appears. Select "Add to Library"
Another Dialog box appears for you to choose which library.

In WS2 I loaded one of my recent weddings and went to the Menu section. I right clicked on a menu I designed last week and saved it into a new folder I created in Text Menu called Weddings. WaLa, there it is, ready to be used and modified for my next wedding. Thanks a bunch.
